I am a young designer with many interests and goals within the realms of architecture and urban design. I find that interdisciplinary influences such as branding, geography, finance and planning - to name a few - are important to how I view the built world. The method of how these related disciplines can inform a large-scale design I find crucial to the creation of successful spaces. For example, utilizing branding & social media to market a new large-scale project, or compromising between community suggestions and demographic realities to impact a waterfront design. Another realm I see as relevant in the future of architecture are composite schemes (i.e. housing/bridge or factory/living). Can atypical typologies such as a bridge or an abandoned factory become spectacular pieces of urban architecture when inject with new program types? These are some questions I find important to expanding the discipline into more of an interdisciplinary mold. As a recent graduate from Syracuse University's Bachelor of Architecture program (May 2010), I hope to pursue a career investigating these interests. Presently I work for Perkins Eastman in Pittsburgh. Having worked on Senior Living projects at many different scales and in many different parts of the world I am growing my skill set everyday. This portfolio site is meant to open a window into my personal design ideals and examples of my work.
